What are the references of the Baby Lab?
The Baby Lab is the first Fab Lab (Laboratory of Manufacture) in Ivory Coast registered in the world directory of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and founded by a dozen computer friends for the most part. Our philosophy at Baby Lab is to promote a development model based on a simple principle: "digital education for all". In this way, we aspire through digital to reduce disparities between populations, starting from the deprived neighborhoods and underprivileged areas of Africa, our land of anchoring, which we want to transform into genuine poles of technological innovation.
The Baby Lab has been labeled "Territories of Tomorrow" since April 2015 by the foundation of Territories of Tomorrow.
The Baby Lab is also one of the research projects of the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) community of African scientists and researchers, an initiative of the African Institute of Science and Mathematics based in South Africa, Scientific and technological innovation on a global scale.
Finally, the Baby Lab was chosen for the 1st Prix Jeunesse Francophonie 35 <35 in the category "Support for Entrepreneurship", thus appearing among the innovation projects that move the Francophone space.
The Kid Lab, for its part, has already seduced more than one of them, in particular the French NGO Libraries Without Borders, which aspires to reinvent the concept of "library" in Francophone African countries while stimulating innovation. Sensitized by the potential of the Kid Lab, the NGO has provided us with a 15-month framework within the framework of the BSF Campus program, whose fruits are numerous.
